Since inception in 2006, we have never received any Government or institutionalized support. We have been living on a shoe string budget and a recurrent deficit.
Our budget is only supported by revenue we generate by charging a small fee from our program participants. This would be enough to support our scale up programs had it not been that our low income earner clientele has strong limitations on what they can afford to pay for the services. We can’t raise the fees, because it will make the services unaffordable for the target clientele.
Because of low income and lack of sponsorship, we have been for all the years unable to put up a standard training infrastructure, we are just improvising!
Our 2015 target is raising USD 600,000.00 to help us put up;
One Stop Centre:
A centre with complete small scale processing/ packaging machinery/ equip, Industrial Reference Library, Mini Laboratory etc.
Online Resource Centre: A free comprehensive online resource centre serving all Sub Saharan Africa, Providing validated market information and skills profiles.
School of Creative Arts: A new youth project intended to graduate 500 Ugandan youth and 300 street children per year in areas of commercial filming & cinematography, comedy, audio & video editing, animation, fine arts, landscaping, martial arts etc.
Program Support: Support to our existing programs and capacity building i.e. quality Enhancement Program, New Hires, Staff Training, Curriculum Development, Fish Project, Marketing & Management Tools, M& E Tools and comprehensive evaluation of past impact.
Women Finance: A Revolving Fund for women start-ups with focus on providing a line of credit in terms of project inputs such as machinery/ equip and then allowing the women to pay back in instalments as the businesses progress.
